This is Part Two of a Two Part Story!

Here we are together, Jim and I on another Saturday night when my parents went out to play cards with their friends. I heard my brother Ted say to Sonny, "I'll be home early.” A few minutes after that Sonny left the house and Jim and I were alone listening to the radio. Moments later, I thought I heard the door open downstairs. I didn't open the bedroom door, but kept yelling, “Ted, is that you?” four or five times with no response. I opened the bedroom door and climbed the stairs to the 3rd floor. In my brother's bedroom there was a bayonet hung on the closet wall.  Truthfully, this bayonet was left there in our home because a man had boarded with our family. He was elderly at the time and had fought in the Civil War. I told my brother Jim to please be quiet so the intruder doesn't hear us! Jim and I went back to my parents bedroom on the 2nd floor and stood on our parents’ bed. My knees were shaking as I lofted the bayonet over my head. We could hear footsteps and I kept saying, “Ted, is that you?" There was no answer and finally the door knob began to turn as my brother Ted said, "BOO!" I immediately shouted, "I could have killed you!"
